JUNIOR TRIALS
The Junior County Trials are being held on Sunday 18 July 2010 at De Aston Sports Hall, Legsby Road, Market Rasen, Lincs. Please encourage as many players to attend as possible.
Under 11s and U13s 10am - 12 noon
Under 15s 12noon - 2pm
Under 17s 2pm - 4pm
Age group qualification = age at 1 January 2011. There will be a £4 court fee per person payable on the day. If you have any questions at all please contact Peter Clarke on 01724 871829 before 17 July.
RESTRICTED CHAMPIONSHIPS
The County Restricted Championships took place at the end of September at North Kesteven Sports Centre with two days of intense competition. The mens singles title was retained by 16 year old Harley Towler (Lincoln) after an exciting final with Michael Reid (Grimsby) Harley eventually winning 17-21 21-17 21-13. The ladies singles final was another thrilling event between 16 year old Francesca Knight and 14 year old Jessica Portas (both of Grimsby). Francesca won all her matches on the way to the final but Jess emerged victorious 21-17 21-17. Paul and Lee Mayfield won the mens doubles final against brother Mark Mayfield and Simon Turner to take the title for the 13th year in a row and Jo Wressell and Sam Allen retained their ladies doubles title against Jessica Portas and Gemma Traviss with a 21-16 21-18 win. The mixed doubles final featured three of the finalists from last year and on this occasion Harley Towler and Sam Allen beat Nigel Heather and Cherry Dowson 21-17 21-19.
